Discover a different way to experience Xochimilco by reserving a private chinampa within the Laguna del Toro Ecological Reserve. Private Chinampa Atlicpac is designed for groups of up to 30 guests looking to gather in a peaceful natural setting, away from the city’s hustle and bustle, with an exclusive space to enjoy together for six hours.
Your experience begins at the meeting point, where the group will walk to the dock before boarding a private trajinera or canoe, depending on the group size and daily operations. The boat ride through the canals is part of the experience itself, allowing you to discover one of Xochimilco’s best-preserved natural landscapes before arriving at Chinampa Atlicpac.
Upon arrival, the entire chinampa will be reserved exclusively for your group throughout the experience. From that moment on, you’ll have full access to a spacious garden with panoramic views of Laguna del Toro, a covered outdoor dining area equipped with tables and seating, and a peaceful environment ideal for gathering with family, friends, or colleagues.
This experience is designed to let every group enjoy the day in their own way. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverages to enjoy during their visit. The chinampa includes a traditional charcoal brazier (anafre) and firewood for those who wish to heat or prepare simple meals, creating a completely personalized gathering.
During your six-hour stay, you can host family gatherings, birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, reunions with friends, or simply spend quality time together surrounded by nature.
Chinampa Atlicpac also features four eco-friendly biodigester restrooms (two for women and two for men), expansive green areas, and one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Laguna del Toro, making it the perfect setting to relax, take photographs, or simply enjoy the scenery.
More than reserving a venue, you’ll experience having your own private chinampa that can only be reached by navigating the canals of the Laguna del Toro Ecological Reserve.
