Overview
Ruta del Toro is the classic Acalli Kayak Club experience inside the Laguna del Toro Ecological Reserve in Xochimilco.
This route travels through historic canals, ahuehuete tree corridors, and natural waterways within the lacustrine system, offering a calm, accessible, and deeply territorial kayaking experience.
During the journey, you will paddle through different areas of the reserve while exploring natural landscapes, local flora and fauna, and historic canals that are part of Xochimilco’s chinampa ecosystem.
It is an ideal experience for beginners, couples, visitors, and anyone looking to explore Xochimilco from a quieter, more natural, and authentic perspective.
Ruta del Toro is designed as a continuous exploration experience focused on navigation and scenery, without stops or additional activities.
We operate with next-generation inflatable kayaks designed to provide stability, safety, and comfort throughout the canal system.
Our kayaks feature:
- Anti-roll stability system through integrated side chambers that provide greater balance during navigation.
- Anti-puncture protection system, as the air chambers are protected inside durable canvas sleeves, preventing direct exposure and increasing equipment durability.
- Ergonomic and spacious design that allows for a comfortable paddling experience, even for guests with no previous kayaking experience.
This allows us to operate in a safer, more flexible, and more comfortable way throughout the different waterways of Xochimilco.
